1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to the WPharma application and website (the “App”, “Software”, or “Service”), provided by:
World Wide Soft Technology
Chowdhury Tower, Kotowali, Chattogram, Bangladesh
Website: wwsoftt.com
Email: info@wwsoftt.com

Use this page as the public, non-editable HTML privacy policy URL in Google Play Console (Policy → App content → Privacy policy) and as the in-app privacy policy link. This page is not a PDF and is not geofenced.
This document explains how we access, collect, use, store, share, retain, and delete personal and sensitive user data, including health-related pharmacy records processed in the Software. It is written to align with the Google Play User Data policy and Health Content and Services / Health and Medical Apps policy. It is not legal advice. You remain responsible for local pharmacy, drug, and data-protection laws in your country.
2. What WPharma is (and is not)
WPharma is business software for pharmacy shops to manage:
- Shop and staff accounts
- Medicine inventory, barcodes, batches, and expiry
- Point of sale (POS), invoices, returns, and dues
- Purchases, suppliers, and warehouse stock
- Customers and wholesalers
- Accounts, VAT, loans, assets, and reports
WPharma is not:
- A medical device, diagnostic tool, or telemedicine / clinical service
- A consumer marketplace for buying prescription drugs without a prescription
- A Health Connect, fitness, or contact-tracing app
- An app directed at children
Health-related information that appears in the Software (for example medicine names, strengths, quantities sold, and a customer’s purchase history at a shop) is stored only so the shop can run inventory and billing. We do not use that information to diagnose or treat anyone.
3. Who this policy covers
- Shop owners and staff who create or use a WPharma account
- Pharmacy customers and suppliers whose details a shop enters into the Software (the shop is typically the controller of that shop-level data)
If you are a shop customer and want your record changed or deleted, contact the pharmacy that served you, or contact us using the details below and we will help the shop process the request where we host the data.
4. Data we access, collect, and use
We collect only data needed for the core pharmacy-management functions of the App. We do not sell personal or sensitive user data.
| Category | Examples | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Account and identity | Shop name, address, owner name, username, mobile number, role, password (stored hashed) | Create and authenticate shop and staff accounts; shop tenancy |
| Contact | Mobile numbers for login and SMS one-time codes (OTP) | Login, registration verification, account recovery support |
| Pharmacy / health-related operational data | Medicine names, strength, barcode, batch, expiry, stock, units; customer names and phones linked to invoices; items sold or returned | Core POS, inventory, expiry, due collection, and shop reports. This is sensitive health-adjacent data used only for shop operations, not clinical care |
| Financial and business data | Sales, purchases, payments, dues, VAT, loans, assets, expenses, income | Accounting, invoices, and shop reports |
| Device permissions (optional, when you use a feature) | Camera for barcode scan / pack photo or OCR of medicine labels. Microphone may be used with the camera while scanning; it is optional and not used to record calls or background audio. We do not access contacts, location, SMS inbox, call log, or Health Connect | Identify a medicine at the counter. Camera (and microphone, if needed for scan) is used only while you scan; we do not run background camera or audio capture |
| App activity and technical | Login time, activity logs, session cookie, IP address as seen by the web server, POS cart in device local storage | Security, shop audit trail, keep the cart until checkout |
What we do not collect as part of the product
- Google Health Connect data, fitness metrics, or clinical device readings (no blood glucose, ECG, SpO2, etc.)
- Precise GPS location
- Advertising ID for ads (WPharma does not show third-party ads)
- Persistent hardware IDs (IMEI, IMSI, SIM serial) linked to personal data
- Access to your phone’s SMS inbox or call logs (OTP is sent to your number via an SMS gateway; the App does not read SMS)
5. How we use data
- Provide, maintain, and improve pharmacy POS, stock, and accounts features
- Authenticate users and protect shops from unauthorised access
- Send registration / verification SMS codes when SMS is configured
- Generate invoices, reports, and shop-level records the user requests
- Provide support, fix errors, and meet legal or regulatory requests
We do not use pharmacy records for advertising, profiling for ads, or sale to data brokers.
6. Sharing
We share data only as needed to run the Service:
- Hosting / infrastructure — servers and databases that store the Software (for example the shop’s hosting provider)
- SMS gateway — mobile number and message text when an OTP is sent
- Shop staff — other authorised users of the same shop, according to roles and permissions
- Legal — if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or security
- Business transfer — merger or sale, with notice where required
We do not sell personal or sensitive user data. Third-party code or gateways used with the App must not sell that data from the App.
7. Security
- Passwords are stored using one-way hashing
- Sessions and shop data are separated so one shop cannot open another shop’s records through normal use
- Transmit data over HTTPS where the site is served on HTTPS
- Access is limited by login and role permissions
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Shop owners must also keep devices, passwords, and staff access under control.
8. Retention
We keep account and shop operational data for as long as the shop account is active, because pharmacies typically need invoices, stock, and due records for business and legal retention.
- OTP codes are short-lived (for example about 15 minutes) and then expire
- POS cart data in the device browser may remain until checkout or the user clears site data
- After account deletion (see below), we delete associated user data except where we must keep a limited copy for security, fraud prevention, tax, or other legal compliance, which we will disclose if it applies
9. Account and data deletion (Google Play requirement)
If you can create an account in WPharma, you may request deletion of that account and associated personal data. Deletion means removing the account and related user data, not only freezing login, except for narrow legal or security retention described above.
In the Software: signed-in shop owner / administrator should use Shop Settings or contact support from the logged-in account so the shop can be closed and user access removed.
Without the App (web request): email info@wwsoftt.com with subject “WPharma account deletion request”, and include:
- Shop name
- Registered mobile number and username
- Confirmation that you are the shop owner or an authorised administrator
You may also call +88 019 9996 1999. We will verify the requester before deleting, to protect the shop.
Use this same URL in Play Console Data safety as the account deletion web link: this page, section 9, or the deletion email link.
10. Children
WPharma is for adult pharmacy staff and business use. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Permissions and consent
Camera (or similar) permission is requested only when you start barcode scan or label capture. Microphone may be used with the camera while scanning; it is optional and not used to record calls or background audio. You can refuse; POS still works by typing a barcode or searching a medicine. We do not request health sensors, Health Connect, contacts, or location for this product.
12. International users
The Service is designed for pharmacy businesses, primarily in Bangladesh. If you use it from another country, your data may be processed in Bangladesh or on the hosting country of your installation. You must comply with local pharmacy and privacy law.
13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the Software after an update means you accept the revised policy, where allowed by law.
